Laura

Laura is a Desire/Arousal and Libido Mismatch specialist in Asheville, NC. Her mission is to help women and couples have stress-free intimacy. She will help you discover your authentic sexual self, maximize pleasure, and get attuned connection.

Laura uses experiential practices that enable you to release shame, escape confusion, get out of your head and into your body. In session, you will gain confidence relating to your erotic self, your emotions, your boundaries, and your partner(s). Her approach is inclusive, de-shaming, sex-positive, and trauma-informed. Laura is a trauma survivor herself and has experience supporting those seeking to find authentic, vibrant intimacy after relational or sexual trauma.

As a podcast host, Laura has been producing the Sex Help for Smart People podcast. She has over 10 years of experience as a sexologist, educator, and coach. With a PhD in Biology, Laura’s work is grounded in the latest mind-body research.

Laura is also a Certified Somatica® Coach and a Certified Sexologist by the American Board of Sexology. She is trained in NeuroAffective Touch (a modality for releasing developmental and relational trauma) and is certified by The Life Coach School in a cognitive-behavioral approach. She has taught a wide variety of courses, on overcoming Libido Mismatch, finding authentic arousal, foreplay, releasing shame, sexual communication, relationship repair, overcoming body image issues, and solving work-life and home-life imbalances that impact intimacy.
