About Annette
Annette Gates has dedicated her life to growth and transformation through relationship. She has over 12 years of training and experience in life coaching, sexology, and healing. Annette is a certified sexological bodyworker from the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality. She is a Brennan Healing Science Practitioner from the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, a rigorous four-year institution that trains practitioners to combine hands on healing with deep psych spiritual/transformation work. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Minor in Woman’s Studies.
Annette brings her depth of presence, powerful intentionality, and authenticity to her coaching sessions. Utilizing her training in body-based healing modalities, tantra and sexology, she leads people through a journey of awakening and deepening into their unique sexuality. She offers her clients a safe space to explore all aspects of themselves, free of shame, as they transform old patterns in relationship to new desired manifestations. Annette is particularly talented in coaching clients through real-time experiences to balance union and individuation within intimate relationships for enhanced erotic health. She created Intentional Love Making Circles - ILM Circles ™ for couples and singles to explore how the practice of intentional (self) lovemaking and the movement of erotic energy aids in the manifestation of desires. Sessions:
My approach to healing and personal transformation is holistic, focusing on you as a unique, complex, dynamic being of body, mind and spirit. I offer to serve as a facilitator in your self-initiated process of healing and transformation. I am here as a committed listener, a mirror, and a collaborator in the process. In the course of our work together, we will explore areas that influence your state of wellbeing. We may address your health and sexual history, life stressors, belief systems and attitudes, your family and childhood history, diet, exercise, dreams, longings, and how you are in relationships.
Among the various techniques that I use and teach are; hands-on healing, core-energetic movement, breath work, meditation, hypnotherapy, and various massage and bodywork. As a trained sexologist, I use these tools and techniques to facilitate individuals and couples to fully utilize sexual life force energy. Our sessions are intended to be in harmony with any other work you undertake, including traditional medicine and psychotherapy.
What to Expect:
Sessions last an hour and a half. In the first session we will talk about your thoughts, feelings and experiences around relationships, sexuality and intimacy and identify your desired intentions around coaching. We will then make a plan for how we will work together and begin some of the foundational experiential work that is a part of all my coaching. In ongoing sessions we use talk and individualized techniques mentioned above to support you in meeting your intentional desires.
