Heart and Love - Elena Ray

Presence

Dr. Betty Martin

I offer you my presence.

Presence is the ability and the desire to be here, with you, now, in the unknown, in the feeling, whether it be joy, discomfort, sadness, awkwardness, sweetness. Presence is the desire to explore the feeling with you.

Presence is the commitment to communicate as clearly as possible at any moment about how I am experiencing this moment.

Presence is the ability to listen, and to create and hold space for you to explore your inner mystery.

Presence is the respect of your mystery.

Presence has no agenda.

Full presence is a foundation for other tantra techniques.  Practice it when you can, and soon it will be your norm.  You will notice, too, that you are becoming more relaxed and present in all areas of your life - work, parenting ...

Find a quiet, comfortable space with no interruptions.  Put on your sarongs (or your birthday suit!) and lie on your sides facing, toes touching, with top arms resting lightly on each other’s body.  Use gentle taps to move from step to step.

1.      Allow your bodies to surrender into relaxation with your eyes closed, 5 minutes.

2.      Now gaze softly into each other’s left eye as you notice the sparkle, depth, and divinity. Relax your vision and blink as needed. Allow a gentle merging and melting. Maintain
for about 5 minutes.

3.      Breathe slowly, deeply, and synchronized as you continue to gaze for about 5 minutes.

4.      Take turns speaking softly as you briefly share what you see in each other. It may be a soft heart and strong masculine energy, or a beautiful being who is blossoming into motherhood.

5.      Enjoy a sweet, slow tantric kiss, barely touching lips, as you focus on the soft skin sensations.

Thank your partner for sharing this sacred time and separate slowly allowing your bodies a gradual disconnect.  As you resume your day, maintain silence for as long as is comfortable.

This is one of my favorite tantra techniques as it is simple, effortless, and can be done before you get out of bed in the morning or before you go to sleep at night.  And it may become habit forming!

Instant Advanced Meditation

Stacy Clark, MA

Being relaxed and fully present are foundational elements for any tantra experience.  Here's a simple meditation that can be done anytime, anywhere, in any position, during any activity, or no activity.  And there's no preparation at all.

1.

Notice all that is in front of you - people, animals, landscapes, objects - everything.

2.

Include all of your senses - what you see, hear, feel, taste and smell.

3.

Relax and sink into the thought.

4.

Be open and present with the thought - what you notice may surprise you.

5.

If you get distracted, simply repeat the thought.

This IAM - Instant Advanced Meditation, is from Steven Sashen of Boulder, Colorado.  It is equally useful in all situations - making love, arguing, any situation at all, and can be a useful tantra technique.  Here's more information with a free introduction and two free guided meditation audios from Steven Sashen.

Healing hands

Sex Coach Says
Hands, Hearts and Healing

Hands are extensions of the heart, so what is happening in your heart is significant. Before engaging in sensual or sexual touch, take a moment to listen to your heart.  Is it clear and loving?  Or is there judgment and anger?  Whatever energy is present will interact with your partner's energy.  Is this the right time for you to engage in touch?

Heart energy trumps technique, and intuition trumps learned knowledge.  If you find yourself in your head during the massage, visualize your heart, and now see a stream of brilliant energy flowing from it, though your arms, into your hands and into your partner.

If you would like to support your partner in releasing a pattern that no longer serves, massage in a counter-clockwise direction.  To strengthen a pattern or trait, or invite in a new one, massage in a clockwise direction.

Healing touch is an essential part of any wellness plan - and is a foundation for other tantra techniques.  Engage often - it'll do your body and your relationship good.
