Les is mesmerized when he spots Chrissie’s mass of shiny red curls
cascading down her purple ski suit. The morning sun is favoring her
with an aura of brightness as her lithe body bounces through the
crowd and her designer sunglasses slip down her petite nose. The
group’s ski gear is being unloaded and Les is surveying it all from
the sidelines. He is surprised to see Chrissie look his way with
a big inviting smile. When she winks at him, he watches more closely
to see if others in the group are receiving the same warm welcome.
Chrissie chats easily with everyone,
and when it becomes obvious that she can hold up both ends of any
conversation, Les begins to plan his approach strategy. Still in
planning mode at dinner time, he is caught off-guard when Chrissie
puts her hand on his shoulder and asks his opinion of the trail
conditions, and later asks him to coach her on the moguls.
Admittedly, she is not a great skier, but that does not seem to
dampen her enthusiasm.
The next morning, Chrissie explodes with laughter as she navigates
her first moguls, mostly on her butt, and when she loses a ski and a
ski glove, she seems unfazed. Her laughter is infectious. Chrissie
is a gusto grabber and Les is smitten.
Being a planner and perfectionist, Les
schedules daily ski lessons and makes dinner reservations before his
first morning run. His nose is always well protected with white
sunscreen and his parka pockets carry an unending supply of gum,
tissues, and lip block. By nature, Les is reserved, often wishing
that he had a bit more bravado. He is usually at home on the slopes,
having grown up on skis, but this trip is different. Les is feeling rattled. He has never before skid
with an incredibly appealing woman. What are the rules? Should he
help her off the ski lift? Show her some techniques? Offer to pay
for her lunch? Being unsure, Les holds back.
Fast forward - Les and
Chrissie have returned home and it’s their second date. When
Chrissie opens the door wearing her favorite slightly revealing and
very seductive outfit, Les is speechless. His eyes follow her every
move and Chrissie basks in all her seductive glory. A bit later, she
steps into her teacher role and shows Les how to make pizza. After
some playful co-creating, the pizza emerges from the oven looking
like a work of art, mostly due to Les’s attention to detail, and it
is every bit as delicious.
The after dinner agenda is snuggling
in front of Chrissie’s TV with a bottle of wine and an episode of
Sex in the City - a comfortable combination until Chrissie starts relating to
the sexual escapades. When her conversation moves toward sexual history, Les gets uneasy.
Chrissie shares openly about her previous partners, tossing in a few
juicy details, and Les prays that his turn to disclose will never
come. His previous sexual partners could be counted on one finger,
and he fears that Chrissie may need extra digits to count hers.
When Chrissie puts her hand on Les’s
thigh, she feels his body tense. Deciding that he could use a little
more encouragement, she initiates a kiss, and is delighted to see
that he is enjoying it as much as she is. The erotic juices are
flowing, and Chrissie is craving more. Slowly she moves her hand to
Les’s crotch and begins to knead gently. Les’s gulp is audible and
Chrissie reads it as his natural response to being turned on. So she kneads more, and Les is
mortified. There is no hiding his arousal, and so far he has
given Chrissie nothing. This was not in his plan for tonight.
Les
feels totally unprepared and anxious with no clue as to how he
should follow Chrissie’s lead and no condom even if he did. His
worse fear is that Chrissie will continue.
